Tea party activists were horrified to learn that the Statue of Liberty was given to the United States by the French and are now demanding it’s return. “How dare Obama expect some foreign statue to promote immigration into our great land!” said Lyle Fournier of the Tea Party group Keep America American (KAA). Mr. Fournier went on to say “I can’t believe we are forced to have this thing like there should be a monument to immigration in this country and what’s worse is the inscription that just invites all the poor dirty people of the world to walk right in and make themselves at home! The whole thing goes against everything this country was founded on!”
KAA is willing to have the statue changed rather than ship it back to France or sell it to reduce the deficit. The Changes would include changing the color from green to “Something more white” and changing the inscription. Mr. Fournier said “The current inscription calls for undesirables who might lower my property values, and as we all know Obama destroyed the real estate market in this country enough already without poor people moving in. The inscription would have be changed to something Toby Keith might write.”
People in support of the Statue of Liberty could only stop laughing long enough to say “Does he know his last name is French?” When we asked Mr. Fournier to respond he looked embarrassed and said “That was a long time ago.” and refused to answer any more questions.
Officials from the National Parks service stated that the statue had been given to the United States by France to celebrate the American centennial and the statue was unveiled by then President Grover Cleveland ten years after the centennial. “I don’t see what all the fuss is about it’s an American icon really and we even offered to show Mr. Fournier where his Great Great Grandfather signed the book at Ellis Island. I don’t understand how people can be against basic American principals while claiming to be upholding basic American principals.”
When asked people on the other side of the immigration debate agree that action is needed, but many feel the tactics being expressed by groups like the Tea Party, KAA, and the Minuet Men are singling out people based on appearances rather than addressing the real issues of what is really a complex problem. “The ideas coming out of those groups range from comical to scary, people are advocating shooting people from helicopters or putting up an East Berlin style wall. The truth is it’s more complex than that and we have to solve economic and bureaucratic problems that are part of what makes the problem a lot worse.
In the end the KAA is being laughed at but their idea of internment camps for people who don’t “look” American is gaining favor among Republican law makers.

Doesn't everyone know Ebolaworld is a joke news site?
Wait…. Is this real? Because if it is, are we really that stupid?
I love how you call us stupid when you don't even understand the difference between legal and illegal immigration, I must assume. I for one am pro legal immigration (it's the land of the free) but I don't think EVERYONE should be allowed in to our country no questions asked. There are a great many people from India that come to this country and you never hear about the problems they cause or how the right has any issues with them. Why? Because the majority of Indians come in legally. Has nothing to do with skin color, gender, financial status, or religion. It's like this, I a natural born citizen, have to follow the laws of the United States. Therefore I ask that non-citizens living here do the same. Oh and my ancestors came in legally on Ellis.
Dear Ebolaworld,
I know it's none of my business but may I ask what your political position is? Someone on YouTube asked if you were a democrat and you said no. You don't seem to be republican (but that doesn't mean you aren't). I'd just like to know which position you take.
I doubt the Tea Party will really ever learn that the Statue of Liberty was a gift to us from the French, because Fox News will never tell them. :P
Don't those jackasses know that their great grandparents were immigrants, who were more than likely the "poor dirty people of the world " at that time. Geeze those people never stop with the stupidy!
Thanks for the article and keeping us informed.
